Race and Religious

A Destination NOLA Wedding at Race and Religious Wedding!

“Marriage is a commitment where 2 people can find and bring out the very best in each other.”

Amanda and Eric traveled to New Orleans from New Jersey for an amazing weekend at Race and Religious. Per usual Nathan cried as they read their handwritten vows that were filled with genuine raw emotion. Their wedding was New Orleans through and through with Cajun food, a second line, and even a tarot card reader. The Super 8 film added to the timeless nature of their love story. While they traveled to NOLA in January to escape the Jersey cold, it was actually pretty dang cold here in New Orleans this weekend so they moved the dancing inside and had an EPIC house party that lasted long past when we had already gone to bed.

New Orleans Styled Shoot at Race and Religious

This past spring we were able to participate in a beautiful styled shoot in New Orleans at what I consider to be the most fantastic venue in NOLA, Race and Religious. The shoot was designed by my wife, Alee, and her business partner, Saron, (Mitchell Willis Events) for the wedding inspiration blog The Bridal Theory. There were so many people that contributed to making this shoot a success: Lauren Kinsey, the photographer; the hair and makeup artist, Faces of Virtue; the florist, Bee's Weddings; the dress designer, Samuelle Couture; the stationer, Paper Birch Designs; the calligrapher, Signora e Mare; and the rental companies, Ardor Event Rentals and Perrier Party Rentals. The gorgeous models are Jasmine Kudji and Cliff Van Meter, and you can see photos of the shoot here.

Enjoy!
